The design of this Aged Care Facility compliments the distinct character of this Village and adds the following accommodation and services:
- 20 bed high care unit
- 10 bed low care secure dementia unit
- 30 bed low care unit
- Supporting administration facilities
- A commercial Laundry and Maintenance workshop
The new facility has been designed for wheelchair use, with wide access corridors and a lift capable of transporting a bed. Toilet areas as required throughout the wing will either comply with the requirements of AS 1428, or designed for optimum use for residents assisted by staff.
A secure courtyard is associated with the new facility, with a circular path way and terrace that provides a safe walking track suitable for the wandering residents, in an area where they are contained and can be observed by staff.
